Nordic Naturals Arctic-D Cod Liver Oil was developed for people who want the benefits of DHA, EPA and natural vitamin D3. Vitamin D3 is the natural form of vitamin D produced by the body, and is better absorbed and utilized than other forms.
Nordic Naturals uses 100% Arctic Cod livers. Arctic Cod (Skrei) has the higheste DHA content of any cod species. On average, Nordic Naturals Cod Liver Oil delivers over 125mg more DHA per serving than other Cod Liver Oil products. Each teaspoon provides approximately 1260mg of the essential omega-3 fatty acids EPA and DHA, generously fulfilling the daily recommendation of a minimum of 500mg per day.
High in omega-3 fatty acids, vitamin A and D, Norwegians have been taking arctic cod liver oil for centuries to support the immune system and heart and brain health.
Vitamin A plays a very important role in keeping our immune system strong by maintaining healthy cell membranes in the lungs. The positive effect of vitamin A on maintaining the normal integrity, function and secretions of our respiratory tract reduces the risk of the tissue becoming infected.
