Solgar Ester C Plus 1000mg is a highly absorbable form of vitamin C with bioflavonoid complex.
Vitamin C is one of life's most important nutrients and is a powerful anti-oxidant. It is one of your body's best defenses against excess free radicals caused by stress, smoking and pollution. Good levels of vitamin C are also essential for the metabolism of white blood cells, a critical component of the body's immune system.
Vitamin C requires daily replenishment because we can not manufacture it or store it in appropriate amounts.
Ester C is a buffered, non-acidic and well absorbed form of vitamin C that is gentle on the stomach. Unlike ordinary vitamin C, Ester-C contains the essential mineral calcium and naturally occurring vitamin C metabolites including L-threonic acid, L-lyxonic acid and L-xylonic acid). These naturally occuring vitamin C metabolites have been shown to enhance the absorption of vitamin C, making Ester-C easy for the body to use. This means that when Ester-C ascorbate enters the blood stream, it goes to work immediately, so vital vitamin C is quickly available to meet demands.
Solgar Ester C Plus 1000mg offers the additional benefits of providing acerola, citrus bioflavonoid complex, rutin and rosehips in the Ester-C ascorbate metabolite complex.
