FEATURES AND BENEFITS
Thompson's Vitamin E Complex contains the 4 major forms of natural vitamin E: alpha, beta, delta and gamma-tocopherols. Natural and non genetically modified, Thompson's Vitamin E complex also contains the antioxidant trace mineral selenium.
Vitamin E is an antioxidant that protects cell membranes and other fat soluble parts of the body from damage. Vitamin E can also reduce the oxidation of LDL (bad) cholesterol therefore reducing the risk of atherosclerosis and heart disease.
As an antioxidant, selenium works synergistically with vitamin E in the protection of fats and cell membranes. Selenium is deficient in New Zealand soils.
Vitamin E may be applied both internally and directly onto the skin to improve wound healing and skin conditions such as dermatitis and eczema. 400IU to 800IU of vitamin E daily is recommended.
Vitamin E may ease PMS symptoms by reducing the production of prostaglandins. Over production of prostaglandins is responsible for cramps and breast tenderness.
Thompsons Vitamin E 500IU is suitable for vegetarians and vegans.
